I'm Mykhailo Babkin. I build AI products and set up AI systems for businesses. Based in Toronto.
I'm a Software Engineer at AIR Media-Tech, where I build tools for a company managing 3,800+ YouTube creators. I'm also Director of AI at Creativeo, where I work with CEOs to build AI into their operations.
At AIR I shipped three production products as sole developer. Oxys is a 9-app YouTube creator toolkit: 25,000 lines of code, 37 languages, 8 AI models. Video to Shorts is an ML pipeline that finds the best moments in long-form video and clips them automatically. AI Audit replaced 5 hours of manual YouTube channel analysis with a one-click pipeline.
At Creativeo I advise CEOs of million-dollar companies on where AI fits in their business. Then I build it. Not strategy decks. Working systems that their teams use every day.
I don't write every line by hand. I design the architecture, direct AI agents to build it, and catch what's wrong. Same way a film director doesn't operate every camera but the movie is still theirs. This lets me ship products that would normally take a team. The tradeoff: you have to actually understand what you're building. Vague direction produces bad code no matter who writes it.
Background
Five years of professional experience across marketing, sales, QA, product management, and engineering. Four languages: Ukrainian, Russian, English, Norwegian. CS degree in progress at UoPeople, graduating 2027.
What I write about
The decisions behind what I build. Architecture choices, what broke, what I learned. Case studies from real products, not theory. I think showing work is more useful than writing about principles.
